Mighty Boosh Festival rocked it!

Mighty Boosh Rocked it!

We had a fantastic weekend in our homeland of Kent countryside, with the Mighty Boosh festival on Saturday and Hop Farm festival on Sunday.

The Boosh Band didn't disappoint, playing everything from the series and Noel Fielding strutted around the stage in his silver sequinned jump suit and Barrett's Jazz was fantastic!

There was tons of people dressed up as the characters, from Old Gregg, to the Hitcher and of course Tony Harrison heads as below..

Our Tequila Sunrise Sunglasses featured in The Sun today! Click image  to buy yours now.

Just a few of the people dressed up!

Love people who make the effort to dress up

and show their creativity and huge imagination! So much effort had gone into

some of the costumes - very impressive!

We loved everyone, from Har Mar Superstar, Charlatans, fantastic White Denim, Gary Numan....who we noticed scarily is looking more and more like Derek Zoolander these days...can you spot the difference?

Blue Steel! Spot the Difference? We can't ;)

"I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is. " Derek Zoolander movie, 2001.

We are very excited to let you know that today we have been featured on the London Paper's blog!

Fancy dress for Bestival

Spam Shark2 While I love browsing the net for shopping, I can't afford to actually buy anything (damn you Alexander McQueen) which makes Rock The Kitschbar my new favourite place.

Filled with fantastic fancy dress ideas that you would actually wear - I want that shark attack costume in my life NOW - and with a section laid aside especially for  Bestival-goers, it's cheap, witty and utterly brilliant.

Avast ye me hearties! Alternatively, get me a SPAM hat, sharpish.

"They tried to make me go to Springfield but I said, 'No, No, No!'"

I am sure, like me you read about the comparison the press had made of Amy Winehouse to Simpsons character, Marge.

This got me thinking that Amy would certainly make a memorable and fun guest to the show and I have just the accessory she could wear!

So, this is the image used in the press to compare her to Marge, but I'm guessing that her beehive would look something more like ours below...

Simply add a headscarf, yellow face and body paint, tiny denim shorts, ballet pumps, tattoos, thick eye liner and hey presto..."They tried to make me go to Springfield but I said, 'No, No, No"

Available now at the Kitschbar, see 'hats n headwear', also in Green for any 'one too many down Mo's Bar' look....

Check out our Customer Gallery to see how funny it is in real life!

Made of thick rubber latex, this beehive masterpiece comes complete with fine hair detail, curl ups, foamed lined edging and is very impressive.

A 'must have' item for any Amy fans to get noticed, why not wear to any of this season's festivals she is playing at to really show you're a fan and she might even notice you in the crowd!

Ideal for fancy dress, retro themes, festivals, adding height, covering any receeding hair lines..or smuggling sandwiches (you'd get at LEAST three rounds of cheese n pickle under there!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BREW! TETLEY TEA BAGS HITS 100YRS OLD!

The nation's favourite drink, tea, I love it as do a lot, as 130million cups are drunken every day! Did you know we consume on average four cups a day (although in my case it's at least 8!!)

The tea-filled bags were first invented by tea merchant Thomas Sullivan in New York, June 1908 and are now in almost every British home.

In 1953 British tea maker, Tetley spotted a potentional and began distributing it and the rest is history..Rock the Kitschbar is a TOP tea fan, we don't like herbals, to us they are poor immitations of tea, it's got to be english tea, milk in first (it is the right way honest ;) two sugars and a ton of milk.

Having grown up to a builder dad, tea has been in my life since birth, so we love it and so much so we have our very own Tetley style tea bag fancy dress costume!

I know what I am donning this weekend in celebration..are you? A must for any true tea fans!

Check it out!

21st birthday to remember?

Now, I don't know about you, but I LOVED my 21st birthday a few year's back and celebrated in the only way I would have wanted....of course, a joint fancy dress party! It was 'free-style', on theme required as didnt want to restrict any of my friends imagination, or creativity and it was a fantastic night.

We had the 'Burger King' complete with cheeseburger hat and crown on top, too Spam tin man, to pink flamingos, to a magicians 'rabbit in a hat' costume!
